Deep breath.


I’m thinking about how it feels like something is pulling me backwards by my muscles. How, 500 years ago, I would probably be considered demon possessed — the way my body spasms uncontrollably and my mouth cries out in uncontrollable expressions of agony. I would be ostracized, removed from society. Thank goodness that in today’s society the demon possessed can get chicken if they want freaking chicken.

A few more deep breaths, a small prayer to the chicken to maybe just fall off the shelf, and I finally did it with an old lady hop. I opened that freezer door and snatched the damn Orange Chicken right off the shelf. Victory is mine!

The moral of the story: General Tsao’s Orange Chicken has an invisible electric shield. Good luck.

Being a nerd was not my reasoning for staying up til the wee hours of the morning to get this out, though. The fact is that I believe our country is in desperate need of more dedicated childcare services like The Jungle, and I believe they have the right approach.

Their mission:

“To equip all children entrusted in our care with the means necessary to be enriched and become healthy, culturally diverse young adults who will impact the community and value life-long learning.”

These are childcare professionals who will not only “watch” your children but also be aware and involved from the beginning stages of their emotional and cognitive development, while you are working hard to feed and provide for them. It is essential to a child’s future to educate them from the very beginning, and those creating the Little Jungle Learning Center understand this on a personal level, having children of their own.

Another considerable motivator for this launch was that it is the first website Ben and I have worked on cooperatively from start to finish. Not only is it an example of what our combined talents can create, but also it is one step forward towards our developing concept of providing all-in-one web & graphic solutions. But! On Saturday, July 14th, 2012, the Saint performed at the 51st annual Wyandotte Street Art Fair, one of Michigan’s largest art fairs. The Art Fair receives more than 200,000 visitors who enjoy restaurants & artwork by fine artists while being entertained by live musicians, performers & exhibitors.

The Saint’s performance on Saturday also featured Peter Buhr (the runt) and David Buhr (2nd oldest) with vocals and various instrumental.

The Saint Projects is set up using WordPress; the design is a personalized version of “Greyzed” by The Forge Web Creations.

Vino’s theme is custom built, designed to display the art gallery’s style and charm with bright colors, sleek menus and vector streaks. Thank goodness for plugins to finish off a good website in good time. My Calendar and WP E-Commerce work brilliantly together to create Vino’s event registration shopping cart.

Vinospicasso.com officially launched in early February, but the original cart plugin, TheCartPress, wasn’t functioning properly. After more testing, planning and altering WP e-commerce to do exactly what was necessary, it works perfectly!
